review: graze box

okay, so on monday i ordered my first ever graze box (although i clicked something and so got sent two), so i thought i'd write a little review on them incase anybody was thinking about getting one...

firstly, they were slightly smaller than i expected. saying that, they do have to fit through your letterbox, so i probably should have kept that in mind.

this is what i had in the first box...

lightly salted popcorn, billionaires shortbread, the herb garden and white choc raspberry cheesecake. everything was beautiful, especially the popcorn at only 96 callories! the fudge chunks are also very delicious. the only thing i didn't like in this box was the round herb biscuits you can see in the bottom right box, but that's just personal taste - they were a bit too savoury for my liking.

in my second box i had...

the love mix, made up of cherries, berries and apricots, toffee apple, coffee and walnut cake and mississipi bbq pistachios. being a lover of pistachios, i went straight for them. they were a-maz-ing! the toffee apples were so delicious, although a little chewy. the coffee and walnut cake has quite a strong taste, but luckily i like coffee, so i thought that it was lovely! again, there was only one thing that i didn't like and that was the dried apricots, but that's again just personal taste.

i'm not sure if i'd want to buy one of these every single week, but every two weeks/every month i think would be great. i'm about to go onto their website to see if there's any possible way that i can do that...

also, i emailed the graze team to say that i had allergies, and they 'binned' all of the products that i had missed that may have affected me somehow, which was really lovely of them!

price rating: 7/10 (£4 with delivery is really good for what you get...)
taste rating: 9/10 (would have been 10 if it wasn't for personal tastes)
presentation rating: 9/10 (the boxes are really cute and neat)
overall rating: 8/10 (i can't wait for my next one to arrive!)

28.01.13

so today i ordered my first ever graze box!
it's due to arrive thursday, and i'm actually really exited.
i hope i get some bread or some popcorn or some tea and cake.

i'm thinking about writing a review of my graze box once it arrives, so hopefully you'll have something interesting to read rather than the usual drawl that i usually write. i've also nearly finished my book (naive.super), which i'm also thinking about writing a review of!

so you'll hear something good from me soon... hopefully :-)

23.01.13

well, today was hectic to say the least!
woke at 6:45 like i usually do to get ready for college, walked to the bus stop in the rain. had psychology and english. then i had to have a meeting about my attendance. i thought 76.3% was aright, but apparently not. and my english teacher is worried about me because i'm 'talented' and have 'potential' but my attendance is letting me slip.

anyways, after college me and daisy went for lunch. we went to an all you can eat asian cuisine restaurant, and it was BRILLIANT. it's just a shame that jade couldn't come.

anyways, when we were in the restaurant we could see it starting to snow, but it wasn't sticking, so we didn't really take much notice. by the time we finished our food and walked to the bus station (via an indoor root), the snow had come down really thick and fast, and all of the buses and trains were cancelled. they managed to organise one bus to my town, and it was the only one for the whole night. i got on it, and what is usually a 15 minute journey took me well over 2 hours because of the insane snow.

i'm hoping that this means a day off college tomorrow so i can go sledding and make a snow man and throw snowballs. but we'll see.

oh, and i have one follower now, yay! i'm no longer just writing to myself. awesome.

i guess i'll write more when more happens.

p.s. westminster university are expecting me to send them a portfolio of my english work via email before the 6th of feb. hahahahaha. great.

22.01.13

umm, hello. so i guess i should start my blog with a little introduction to myself...
i'm emma-louise davies, i'm 18 and i live in a really small town in the south of wales, uk. i'm a second year college student studying english, art and psychology. i'm hoping to go to cardiff university to study english literature and creative writing.
i live with both my parents, my cat (ella) and my bird (loki/lucifer- it changes depending on if he's being evil or not).

i like reading, writing, painting, drawing and playing drums. my favourite books are hound of the baskervilles, a game of thrones, the perks of being a wallflower, alice in wonderland and the hobbit. i like music like connie francis, frank sinatra, the king blues, straight lines and chuck berry.

there's not really a lot else to say about me... i promise my blog will get more interesting.
